About us
Adam Mickiewicz University,Poznan is one of the first universities in Poland to implement the strategy of University Accessible for All, including people with disabilities.
To meet the needs of this group, we offer assistance, including:
- Special scholarship for people with disabilities
- Rational adjustments to the educational process tailored to the person's needs and abilities
- Support of a teaching assistant, laboratory assistant
- Support of a sign language interpreter
- Lending of assistive listening equipment
(FM systems or portable inductophone loops) - Space in student residences adapted to the needs of students with disabilities
(including rooms with light announcements for non-(hearing) students in Zbyszko and Jagienka student dormitories) - Activities of the AMU Disabled Students’ Association "Ad Astra"
- English language classes for visually or hearing impaired students in the multimedia foreign language learning lab
- Practical Polish language classes for deaf or hard of hearing students
- English language classes for students with cognitive difficulties
- Speech therapy classes
- Support of a psychological consultant for difficulties in the study process
- Participation in training and sports camps
(including the summer school of English, the adaptation meeting for first-year students, and the winter training seminar)
