    Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań commits to ensuring the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of April 4, 2019, on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The accessibility statement applies to the website of the Office for Support of People with Disabilities.

    Everyone has the right to:

    • Submit comments regarding the digital accessibility of the website or its element,
    • Request the provision of digital accessibility of the website or its element,
    • Request to make unavailable information available in an alternative form.

    The request must include:

    • Contact details of the person submitting,
    • Indication of the website or element of the website to which the request relates,
    • Indication of a convenient form of making information available if the request relates to making unavailable information available in an alternative form.

    The consideration of the report should take place immediately, at the latest within 7 days. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility or provide access in an alternative form within this period, it should occur at the latest within 2 months from the date of notification.

    Complaints and appeals

    In the event that a public entity refuses to fulfill the request for accessibility or an alternative way of accessing information, the requesting party can submit a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or an element of the website or mobile application. After exhausting the above procedure, a petition can also be submitted to the Commissioner for human rights.

    Description: Near the entrance to the building (approx. 5m) there is 1 parking space for people with disabilities: in the internal parking lot in front of the main entrance to the building from ul. Powstańców Wlkp.

    Main entrance to the building:

    • has stairs equipped with handrails,
    • has stairs, while the ramp is located on the other side of the building, on the side of ul. T. Kościuszko - main entrance to the Novum Philological Library
    • The entrance from the ramp leads to building level 0 to block C to overcome the stairs (4 steps + 4 steps) from level 0 (main hall) to the elevators that go from level -1 to 6 block A, and levels -1 to 5 block B, use the stairlift located between blocks C and B and A

    Inside the building:

    • there are stairs with handrails on both sides,
    • there are elevators that serve all levels and parts of the facility,
    • lifts are equipped with voice messages and buttons with Braille alphabet,
    • there are toilets adapted for people with disabilities:
      • 1 toilet, ground floor (main hall), block B,
      • 1 toilet on the ground floor (main hall) by the lifts, block A, and in
      • 1 toilet on each floor in the library.

    The information system for people with sensory disabilities includes:

    • Inductophonic loops installed in the rooms for people with hearing impairments,
    • Plaques with the room number in Braille and information in QR codes installed on the doors to the rooms,
    • Screens displaying information important from the point of view of AMU students and staff in the faculty halls.

    You can enter the facility with an assistance dog, but with restrictions regarding laboratories where the presence of animals is excluded due to health and safety regulations

    Description: Near the entrance to the building from ul. Grunwaldzka, there are 2 parking spaces for people with disabilities - approx. 30m from the entrance.

    Main entrance to the building:

    • has stairs equipped with handrails,
    • has a door that opens automatically (from level 0 next to the main entrance),
    • the building has a second entrance from the yard, where there is 1 parking space for people with disabilities, located approx. 20 m from the automatically opening door to the elevator.

    Inside the building:

    • there are 8 toilets adapted for people with disabilities on levels from -1 to 2,
    • there are elevators with voice commands but no Braille buttons which serve almost all levels and parts of the building.

    The information system for people with sensory disabilities includes:

    • loops for people with hearing impairments installed in rooms 024a and 024b and in the auditorium,
    • plaques with the room number in Braille installed on the room doors.

    You can enter the facility with an assistance dog without any restrictions (pursuant to the Act on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Disabled Persons).

    The building does not have its own website. The facility has various offices and departments with their own websites.
